New Principal named at Myers Park High School

Mark Bosco, executive director for the Northeast Zone, has been named principal at Myers Park High School.

“Myers Park is an outstanding school with strong parental support and a tradition of excellence,” Bosco said. “I am very excited about the opportunity to work with students, staff and families to help this great school achieve new heights. My educational philosophy was shaped in the classroom and I believe that to teach students, you first have to reach them and engage them in learning.”

A native of Morris, N.Y., Bosco began his career as a history teacher at Northwest School of the Arts, where he became chair of the social studies department. After four years at Northwest, he returned to New York to teach social studies at Cooperstown High School. He was also a principal intern there.

He rejoined CMS in 2002, returning to Northwest as assistant principal.
